Basic engineering is the core of all chemical engineering technologies and chemical process design. Poor basic engineering skills result in wrong equipment selection and specifications, inability to achieve desired process performance, and even safety issues in operation. Most engineers in Thailand perform only detailed engineering according to basic engineering packages by foreign technology licensors. It is time for Thai engineers to master these skills from a unique technical experience of the instructor having worked in a technology licensor team in the US.
