This course is designed to equip engineers and safety professionals with practical and foundational knowledge in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Safety Integrity Level (SIL). It introduces key PHA techniques such as Checklist, What-If, HAZID, and HAZOP, along with when and how each should be applied in real industrial contexts.
Through hands-on workshops, participants will engage in case-based exercises, enabling them to apply guidewords, risk assessment principles, and consequence analysis effectively. The course also introduces SIL concepts, LOPA, and risk assessment tools that support decision-making in process design and operations. Suitable for engineers who need to contribute to or lead HAZOP and PHA sessions in a real plant environment.
