Over the course of two days, participants will explore the fundamentals of corrosion engineering,
beginning with an understanding of what corrosion is and its environmental impacts. The curriculum
covers the basic mechanisms of corrosion, detailing eight forms of corrosion, including uniform corrosion, galvanic corrosion, crevice corrosion, pitting corrosion, and more. Special attention is given to complex forms such as erosion corrosion, cavitation damage, and stress corrosion cracking. This course offers a unique opportunity for practicing engineers to enhance their understanding of corrosion, enabling them to make informed decisions about material selection, design considerations, and corrosion prevention strategies. The knowledge gained will contribute to the longevity, safety, and reliability of industrial infrastructure.
This course is tailored for practicing engineers across various disciplines, including but not limited to; Mechanical Engineers, Chemical Engineers, Process Engineers, Maintenance Engineers, Asset Integrity Professionals and those involved in material selection, design, and corrosion prevention strategies.
